How do I create TV-like subtitles in MEP 2023? I manually create them with white text on top of a black rectangle. I would be very much helped if there is a ready made font for this in stead of my manually made ones. Best Regards
Text has an alpha background, if that could be turned off the png text would become like a jpg (no transparency) so -
Write your text,
Duplicate (Ctrl + drag) it to the track below,
Then add Mask Generator - Invert,
Add Brightness & Contrast - reduce brightness to 0,
PS increasing the Blur enlarges the black background

@CubeAce I did write all that about it turning it transparent but simplified it while writing & just decided to share the procedure so's not to complicate things,
I'm curious, did you read my comment properly, look at my pictures or watch the video because what you wrote is what i showed?
Follow the methods above. When you have the title that you want, select the two objects - the title and the title with mask, right-click, save as title template, give it an appropriate name.
Go to Templates, Title templates, My Own and your title will be there. Drag it to the timeline. Open the titler for each and change the text to be the same. Done. You can, of course, change the effects of the mask.
EDIT: I should have pointed out that the title for the Mask does not have to be the same as the real title so long as the Mask is solid - Low out and High out fully to the right. All the title in the mask does is adjust the width and height of the box. If you want the box longer, add some letters or spaces. To make the box higher, increase the font size of the text with the mask. If you want a partially transparent mask, then the text of both objects has to be the same.
In the above, I added in a border for the box using Artistic Filter/Contour 5x5 as shown below. See also the other parameters.
