Unable to activate my Movie Edit Pro (v. 11) app, what's the problem? My OS is Windows 10 ... updated from Windows 7. Movie Edit Pro last worked on Apr. 2019 and created about 5 video files. Upgrade to Win 10 is the only change that may have caused this problem! Ideas how to fix activation problem?

@Phil-Brubaker

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The current latest version of MEP is version 20. Therefore your version is 9 full releases behind and, I suspect, not designed to run properly, if at all, under Win 10, sorry!

The activation problem is, almost certainly, caused by changes made to internet protocol and security settings under Win 10, which your version of MEP cannot deal with.

I will tag @johnebaker since he has much better knowledge than I of the settings which may be "wrong" for you.

Hi

Following @emmrecs comment - the Internet settings to check and turn on are as shown below:

The quickest way to get to these is:

Click the Windows button, then type Internet Options this will give one option select it, in the Internet options window select the Advanced tab.

However you still may not get Movie Edit Pro (MEP) v. 11 (Movie Edit Pro MX) to register as it is not compatible with Windows 10, and if it does register you may have other issues including being unable to burn discs.

Windows 10 effectively disabled my MEP MX.
