Unable to Activate Product – Error -24 (New Purchase)

I recently purchased your software MAGIX Rescue Your Videotapes + Video Sound Cleaning Lab from an official reseller in Greece

When I tried to activate the program using the serial number provided on the CD, I received an error message (Error code -24 / serial already assigned) and I am unable to proceed with the activation.

 

I have already contacted the reseller, and they advised me to reach out to you directly, as you can assist with this issue.

 

Please note that this is a new purchase from an authorized dealer, and I have the invoice available.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, so not a contact for any Magix Support staff and no-one who posts here can offer any help to you, other than the following:

The only person who can resolve this for you is the reseller who sold the product to you. As you write, error code 24 means the software has been previously registered to a different email address and so the product was NOT "new" when you purchased it! Having already been registered to another user only that user can inform Magix of the change of ownership and so ask for that previous registration to be cancelled, thus allowing you to register and activate it.

However, if the reseller from whom you bought the software told you it was "new" (and so never previously registered and activated) that was not true and you should be demanding that they supply you with a "new" copy, or give you a full refund.
