When I click on a picture to resize ,color correct ,add title, etc., - the display box does not show up so that I can't make any adjustments (MEP 2021) . Effects button does not work.
I could easily make any color adjustment, position, resize or add a title in the previous version of MEP
Any solutions?

Hi Izack.
To answer any of these types of questions it is best to go your profile and in the section of your signature put it all your current computer specs and Windows version and build as well as the Magix program(s) and version(s) you are using. Then that information will appear at the base of any topic you open or answer you give in the forums under the blue written '+ Signature' that will appear at the base of anything you submit here.
At the moment it looks like your system does not make the required specifications to run whatever version or whichever program you are currently running but it is hard to tell without additional information and even then you may be asked more questions for anyone here to be able to try to diagnose a problem.

@izack Can you post a screenshot of your MEP 2021 window after you have clicked on a video object so we can see what you're seeing? For example, do you mean the effects "tab" instead of "button"? By "display box", do you mean the box that appears after you are on the Effects tab and clicked say Size and Position?
@CubeAce Ray, My old and slow system (by any benchmark) runs MEP 2021 just fine. I doubt that this particular issue is caused by a "slow" or inadequate computer given it apparently coped before.

The last reported specs that Izack posted that I can find included the bare minimum information of using an i7 processor with an even slower reported clock speed than your own processor and his earlier version of MEP was 2017 Pro plus so that may not be the case.
Either way it is difficult to give better responses to problems without specs.

Here are my specs, ( I have also downloaded the latest drives for AMD Ryzen 5 2500U that was released on 5/17/21 directly from their website)

I randomly chose a picture -> Effects tab, -> size/position -> moved cursor to picture and I an unable to resize picture seems to be stuck, I am unable to use anything from the Effects tab, screen is blank..
Here it is in the timeline but still nothing.
In the previous version before MEP2021 I was able to use the Effects tab without any issues and have used it many times before successfully . What I am saying is I am unable to SELECT/ HIGHLIGHT the picture.when I place the cursor over it. The picture is frozen. My screenshot does not show you that I have used my cursor over the picture trying to select it many times. Thank you for helping.

How, exactly, are you selecting/highlighting the picture? You do this by clicking on it on the track. When you say you place the cursor over it you could imply you are clicking on the image in the Program screen. Sorry if I've misunderstood what you are saying but we do need you to be absolutely clear about your actions.

YES this works by clicking on the track. I selected the picture in previous versions and it always worked for me

To the best of my knowledge, it has always been the case that, in Timeline view, one had to click on the object on the track to highlight it and then "edit" it. Perhaps you previously used the Scene Overview mode? I've never used it so have no idea if the process of selecting an object is "different".
Anyway, I'm glad to hear the problem is resolved for you.

Prior to my posting my question I had many issues with MEP21 and have since been resolved through Support. I had also asked about the Effect tab not knowing if this was still an MEP 21 issue and was given the reply: please make sure your cursor is on the object to which you have applied the effect." The ticket was closed shortly afterwards and I was unable to ask a follow up question and decided to ask in the forum. Thinking object=picture I had been placing my cursor on the picture. Since my projects had gone smoothly in the past I may have been unaware that the track was highlighted This was a misunderstanding on my part and unrelated to MEP21 and now resolved. In the meantime, I wanted to thank you and everyone in the forum for their clarity and support in helping me to understand the difference.

You still have it wrong. You select the object on the timeline, not the track, and the object will turn yellow. It has always done this. Note also that if the playback marker is over one video clip but you select another object and apply an effect, you won't see anything happen because the playback marker is showing a different object that is not getting the effect.
I don't think that neither Magix nor anyone here would have thought that a user would not actually select the object on the timeline, as this is self-evident. If you don't select an object, the program cannot apply any effects. This is intuitive. Read the message in the image below.
I strongly suggest that you watch my tutorials on basic editing in MEP.
