Hi,

Check your Windows Files and the view tab probably you have selected view Icons, this is normal, is thumbnail and file description or title plus location on your harddrive.

These are the temporary files created by MEP when you import an video clip onto the timeline - because you have 'Hide file extensions' selected in Windows Explorer you are not seeing the true file type - it will be either a .HDP or .H0 file extension as shown below

 

The HDP file (IIRC)  is the preview images shown on the timeline and the H0 file the audio waveform display.

When you have finished a project and want to archive it,  you can safely delete the HDP and H0 files.  

Additional tip:- if you use the Soundtrack  Maker wizard - ensure that the created sound files are copied to the project folder before archiving otherwise if you have to go back to the project you will fnd these files are missing.
