@Craig-LaFond

Hi and welcome to the forum

Are the images from a mobile phone?

If so this is a common problem depending on the make/model of phone.

You need to rotate the images 90 degrees left or right to correct the orientation. As we do not know which version of Movie Edit pro you are using, I would suggest you use the rotation control indicated in the image below.

Movie Edit Pro 2021 and earlier versions

The pictures are from a Samsung S10e.

I am using Magix Movie Edit Pro Platinum.

When I have save a file, everything is in the correct rotation. When I re-open a file that has been saved, that is when many of the pictures have rotated on their own mostly 90 degrees, some 180 degrees. If I do as you suggest, will they then hold their position when I re-save, then re-open the file?

Is there something else I can do while processing the photos to prevent this from happening? Appreciate your help!! Thanks!!

Hi

. . . . Magix Movie Edit Pro Platinum . . . .

Do you mean Magix Movie Studio 18 Platinum or Movie Edit Pro Premium - there is no Platinum version of Movie Edit Pro ?

What is the version number as found under Help, About?

. . . . Is there something else I can do while processing the photos to prevent this from happening?  . . . .

Other than the above not in the program, however, if your your project Aspect ratio and orientation are 16:9 landscape you can avoid the rotation issue by taking the photos in the same orientation on the S10, orienting the phone so that the on screen shutter button is on the right - usng protrait images means they will be pillarboxed in landscape projects.

The rotations should hold using the control I mentioned.
