Update service for Video Pro X 17.0.3.68 and can't contact Magix

Hi, I got the Video Pro X on August 15, 2020, which includes 1 year of Update Service.
Today it is July 25, 2021 which is within the year of Update Service.
But when I try to update the program, it asks me to pay to extend the service even though I am within the year of Update Service.

I tried to contact Magix Support by type in the details of the support request and then clicking Continue, but I get an error "The support request could not be saved" even though in Developer Tools it shows the POST request gave back 200 (but the response was HTML page, not sure if that's normal).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

This sounds like a Humble Bundle purchase as Video Pro X 17.0.3.68 is VPX 11 and not VPX 12 the same as I have that was offered at about that time..

You would not get either the update to VPX 12 or 13. You should be getting the offer to upgrade to VPX 13 at a reduced upgrade cost though.

I see! Thanks for clarifying, @CubeAce. I didn't realize the Humble Bundle purchase doesn't include the updates.

The Humble Bundle offers are usually for out of date programs that are one version behind the current product. They also don't have the additional freebies you would get with a normal purchase. What you do get is a cheap way into the upgrade path if you take up the offer within an undisclosed amount of time you bought the software. Humble Bundle get programs to offer and the suppliers of the programs get possible new customers through their upgrade offers.
