updated to pro 2021 cannot get display of timeline/storyboard/scene

I have updated to pro2021 and it will not let me show timeline/storyboard/scene overview menu as per previous program i have no menu or option to load to get display mode

I have unistalled and reisnstalled still the same

I have used edit pro for 10 -15 years and no problem but this upgrade does not let me see a display menu

I am struggling to get this option please help

I notice that the Preview monitor is not showing a project name.

If no project has been created then there is no timeline / Storyboard / Scene overview to be displayed.

From you image it looks like the Project pane is turned off - check the option indicated in the image below is on (checked).

If I open MEP or VPX and just dismiss (close) the opening project option to load an existing project or make a new one I do not get an editing space created.

Thanks Ray, understood. We have different workflow preferences. I never use that 'options' thing. On opening MEP I always get the screen shown above and usually then go straight to File > Last opened disc projects.

If I dismiss the dialog either using Esc key or the red X the timeline you see in the image below remains.

I can replicate the behaviour you are seeing only when the option I indicated in my previous post is unchecked as shown below
