Hi

Try a reinstall of MEP 2014 by running the installer again and select repair from the options offered.

Please let us know if this works - there will be many other users updating to 8.1 and may hit the same problem.

Running the installer in repair mode worked well.  The MPEG-4 Basic activation worked online and the projct then loaded.

Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem and then read this thread. But insted of runing the initial installer again, I ran the 13.0.1.4 update in repair mode. This runs much quicker than the initial install.

I am running just fine now.
