On May 28th I purchased a year of updates but no updates have downloaded since then. Also my update purchase is not listed in my account for purchased software update year.

Hello, I acquired MEP version 2021, (Updated in July), and I am trying to render a BDR in AVCHD, that I created a 5.1 Surround sound mix for, but every time I click / tick, to start the rendering process, I'm being told I cannot render it in 5.1, and that I must click 'stereo.' This has not happened to me, in the 20+ years that I've been using MEP+. I've downloaded all of the required 'additional softwares.' Not sure what's going on. Can anyone shed some light on this for me, please? Thanks.

Please do not hijack another users topic that is not related to the issue you are having.
The answer to your question is short - 5.1 Surround Sound for exporting is no longer supported.

I knew I'd get a quicker answer, by doing that. Although, I am not happy that Magix has once again pulled a fast one, on it's loyal customers. Typical. In any case, thank you for the quick response.

Yes and so far it says "no updates" but I keep getting emailed notices that there are new features. Also when the software starts it does pull up a list of previous updates from the day the yearly software was downloaded. In my registration listing it does not show that I bought the year update in May.

You need to look under Help in the top tool bar and then scroll down to About Magix Movie Edit Pro and and read which version you have in the info box.
