This method will not give you any trouble therefore give a try and see if it helps.

When you are not using Music Maker, on the Desk Top right click on Music Maker icon and run as an administrator.

Other than above, I hope you are not using Music Maker in Easy Mode right? If you are then turn it off.

I too would like to upgrade to Premium. Cannot find the link to upgrade. i sent a support ticket, but they are kind of slow in getting back to you.
