Upgraded to Magix Movie Edit Pro 2022 Now things are worse! HELP!

In hindsight,I wish I hadn't upgraded now, as everything was working before!

Having spent a few weeks editing a 'Halloween' themed Video for a BBC online broadcast, I thought things would be easier if I paid the c£55 to upgrade to Magix Edit Pro 2022!

Now, when I try to watch my movie, there are GREY area's that seem to take forever to load (if ever)!

The playback window just won't play them back!

But sometimes they do!

It's now a random thing! ...

Tonight I re-purchased Magix PC Check and Tuning 2021 thinking that might help..but it didn't seem to make a difference?

Another £24 wasted!

Why am I getting these GREY areas that don't play back????

I've used Magix for many a year, but this has got me stumped?

Thanks in advance!

Dave

Hi Dave.

If all of the added effects were done in MEP 2021, try going to the project file folder with File explorer and delete all of the following files ending in HO, HDP, mxv, and any BAK files from an older version project.

If you are worried about deleting the files cut and past them into another folder to put them back if it doesn't work.

I have found deleting those files often makes unresponsive MEP 2021 projects editable again.

Some of those files may be recreated again when the project is then opened and played. This is normal and should be OK.

Also when playing the project open task manager and see which parts of the system seem most stressed.

This new version is much harder on components than the last version despite what the specs page may lead you to believe.

Ray.
