Upgrading from Movie Edit Pro to Video Pro X (16)

I recently upgraded from MEP to Video Pro X 16 and I am getting reacquainted the the platform after taking a break of a few years. the interface is very similar and I think I can find my way around, but I am interested to learn how to search for license free video and audio content. Is there any content that comes free with purchase or is everything a la carte?

@Operaman

Hi,

First off, did you download and install all of the additional content that comes with the program? It is about the same as what you had with MEP if you downloaded and installed everything, except that with VPX, you get the commercial use license.

Secondly, you can download content by going to the MAGIX Hub tab, logging in, selecting Stock Media. There is royalty free footage and audio that you can download. There is limit to the number of downloads per year as shown on the Magix.com site. The content actually comes from Storyblocks and you can search their site easier than in VPX, then search and download from within VPX.

The biggest change in the program from MEP to newer versions is Size/Position/Rotation where rotation is now with size and position, and you can now set the anchor point, amongst other changes. See my tutorials for details.

Aha! Eureka! My bad. I only went as far as the Store tab, thinking that was where I should go for stock content. I went to the VPX help site (https://help.magix-hub.com/video/videoprox/16/en/content/home.htm?skinName=Dark&major=22&minor=1&patch=260?cshid=1), but the help navigation is organized in a sort of workflow manner (makes sense, I guess). There's some info about the tabs under 'Design and optimize videos' but only on the Effects, Templates, and Audio. I'll take a look at your tutorials. Thanks for the info!
