There are several possible causes the most likely being that Facebook has changed ( 'broken' ) the APIs that MEP uses - see the changes here.

Does the video meet all Facebooks requirements in terms of format, resolution, video/audio codecs and file size see here and here ?

Have you tried using Facebooks own uploader after exporting the video from MEP?

thankyou for your reply, and I will try your suggestions when I have time to do so. I assume that as the photos are jpg and the videos are MP4 files, which I believe are quite common formats, they should be acceptable to Facebook? However, I am not the worlds most technologically minded person, and I could be wrong.
