You mean the Movie (Project) settings and what you say is probably true but you can choose say 24P and then modify it or croll to the bottom of the list where"user defined" comes up where you can enter your own settings also.
To be honest I do not think it cares whether it is progressive or interlaced for that setting - just make sure you choose a progressive export template from the comprehensive list as in Ray's screenshot, when you export.
To add to what Peter has said, You can ignore the startup screen and alter project settings from File / Settings / Movie, where the list is more comprehensive and as Peter has pointed out, there is no differentiation between i and p settings.
This was discussed in the forum a couple of times. Just ignore the "i" and edit as usual. Nothing bad happens. It's been like that for years and has only been changed in the latest version.
When you export, just select the settings with "p".
Thank You. I was curious as to why the was not 1920x1080P project I will be rendering my project into 1920x1080P not (I) isn't that old or inferior quality?
