USB microphone

Hi,

When I search for input devices, my microphone isn't being recognized. Could someone shed some light?

Hi,

Check the Windows control panel, sounds, recording and make sure that your microphone is there and is selected.

Then in MMM, File, Settings, Audio recording (or Shift+R), first line is Audio line-in. Make sure that the correct microphone is selected.

If the microphone is not recognised try plugging the into another USB port - preferably one on the back of the computer if it is not a laptop ( I have found that some computers do not have the front sockets connected!! )

If you are using Windows XP then it is very likely that you will need to install drivers from the disc that came with the microphone, if you have one, or download them from the makers web site.
