Hi

Yes - File, Export movie, Video as mpeg4, and select any of the presets that give you a mp4 file format eg Flash Player.

Note: click the  Advanced button and select the Make streamable option otherwise the file will not stream, without this option the whole file will have to be downloaded before it starts to play.

Thanks John.   Your comment about the file not streaming is the issue I am having.  I want to file to be recognized by HTML5 as an MP4.  I have clicke don Export movie, selected Video as Mpeg-4, and then clicked the Advanced... button found on the same line as Format description.   There is no selector to choose Make streamable as you have suggested.

A picture of the dialogue that comes up can be found here:  http://www.cacspringcon.com/AdvancedMagix.JPG

Can you tell me where else I might find the Make streamable selection?

Hi

Apologies was going from memory - for MX the option is slightly different - check the Export as website option in the Advanced dialog  - this will create a web page, the player and the mp4 file in a folder of your choice.

For HTML5 you only need the mp4 the rest of the files in the folder can be deleted.

Occasionally I used to fine that the file would still not stream correctly - in which case I run it theough MP4 FastStart

Hi John,

Thanks for the feedback.  Still not getting anywhere with this.

Do you where I can get a MP4 test video I can use for streaming using the HTML5 video tag so I know I at least have the scripting working correctly?

Thanks.

Dan
