using music maker 12 deluxe on vista machine

Music maker 12 deluxe works fine on my xl machine. I would like to put it on my vista machine and it woud be faster. When I load the program on the vista machine and run the program I get the following message " this version of virtualPL not supported ".Then I hit OK and I get a screen that says" Insert magic music maker cd and restart program. When I do this it just closes the program. What is this and what can I do to correct the problem , Help would be appreciated, Thanks

The version 12 just might not support the Vista operating system. You might check MAGIX support for any patches if available. If none are available...

You can try uninstalling then reinstalling, but this time you will need to close the auto-start or any screen that comes up when you insert the disc. You will need to browse the disc from something like My Computer or Windows Explorer.

When you browse the disc, there should be a "setup.exe" file. You need to RIGHT mouse click that file and then ‘Run as Administrator’. It should run the installation. Once the installation is complete, you will have a desktop icon for the program. To start the program, you again need to RIGHT mouse click and ‘Run as Administrator’.

If this runs the program, then you should be able to use it, if you get an additional error, the program is just to old for the operating system.

I have been using Music Maker 12 Deluxe on Vista Computer. But noticed some times some audio files can not be read. In MMM 12 Deluxe there are Audio and Takes files and same in case of Vita some time show error or not support message. But I will say it is a good Program, and worked 95% on my vista computer but as I also got Music Maker 16 and 16 Premium I have un installed that.

 

Music Maker 12 Deluxe is older version therefore no support and no updates can be done via Magix website.

 

Please confirm if your Music Maker version support Windows Vista.

As I mentioned earlier, me too got this Music Maker 12 Deluxe for Vista, and got some error. No doubt on box it says Vista Compitiable but as it is older version and the new version is Music Maker 17 since the release of this version Microsoft Windows does change. Therefore there will be some problem using in my opinion.

Though I like Music Maker 12 Deluxe very much specially Synthesizers.

 

I will be glad if you get solution to your problem so I can also use that.
