Vegas Stabilization not working in Movie Editor Pro 2020

Alison-Whyte wrote on 3/31/2020, 5:44 PM

Has anyone else been able to remedy this. Got an error message coming up when trying to apply vegas stabilization saying the plugin video effect could not be loaded. This is because there are not video plugins installed or they are incompatible.

There are files in showing where the message says they should be located however they are only 1kb each. Would that be correct, all of the other plugins are around a bit bigger. Hopefully someone has succeeded in sorting this problem.

I'm using Samsung S8 phone footage on a windows 10 lenovo thinkpad.

Thank you,

Ali

Hi Alison.

I've just checked on my system and it's working at my end.

Click on the image below to enlarge.

I seriously doubt a 1kb file would be a large enough file for a plugin. You may have a corrupted download or sometimes with a slow internet connection it takes time for all the content to download. Check you have downloaded all your content. Look under Help in the top toolbar.

@Alison-Whyte

Hi

. . . . there are not video plugins installed or they are incompatible . . . .

Was the MEP 2020 a clean install or upgrade from a previous version?

If an upgrade from an earlier version you must re-install all the extra content

If a clean install did you download and install all the extra content that is available under Help, Install extra content?

If an upgrade, re-install all the extra content - it has been updated for MEP 2020.

You were correct, I hadn't added it from the help bar. All working smoothly now.

Thanks for your replies.
