I have been using Vegas since version 1 and have watched it's rise and now it's fall into an appalling piece of flaky and unreliable software. I can use software such as Nuendo 11, Izotope RX8, Resolve, Spectra Layers and other complex and demanding software and they simply never crash. Vegas however spends it's existence with crash after crash with no apparent connection or reasoning behind the crashes apart from a suspicion it simply loses track of where things are. Today it is crashing every ten minutes. These are not complicated projects and are maybe 15 minutes long with one channel of video and one channel of a jpeg overlay. The source material is on an SSD disk (I moved the project from a normal disk to try and improve reliability) I have the latest version of 18 installed I have followed every. Single. Tweak. And. Enhancement. to my system that I can find but to no avail. I'm writing this post out of sheer frustration and disappointment and to vent my sorrow on how the mighty have fallen. As for getting all my plug ins to work ha ha ha. OK going to open my 73 channel, 100 minute Nuendo project which has never crashed ever in the months I have been working on the project. If only there was a software that was as useful as Vegas but that actually worked. Anyone any thoughts on this?
