Version 20.0.1.80 Issues with New Blue Display in Library

First of all let me say that I am not new to video editing, being a Beta tester and Advisor on another NLE forum.

I upgraded for one reason only, proDAD Hide, before installing, I purged this computer of everything associated with Magix and Vegas, then checked every program and deleted anything for Magix and Vegas, including all the different locations programs seem to hide. Having had prior issues with New Blue I was especially careful in checking all the folder locations.

When I was satisfied that everything had been deleted, I installed Movie Edit Pro 2021 Premium, then installed all the extras.

Opened the program then checked the Effects Library and found New Blue Issues

There is a folder called New Blue Essentials which contains 26 filters, all of which are in trial mode, also a folder called New Blue Elements which contains 15 filters also all in trial mode

Then there is a New Blue Stylizers folder containing 20 filters of which 9 are in trial mode

Unless the program itself has installed these filters, (there should only be the New Blue Filters folder containing 27 filters which all work correctly). I have no idea where these additional folders came from.

Whilst I do have New Blue Essentials, Elements and Stylizers installed for other NLEs, I was very careful in ensuring that nothing associated with Magix or Vegas was in those folders.

I probably should contact support for advice, but from my forum experience, thought that I might get a better response here, normally forums are more proactive than support, so any advice from the forum members would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I believe you have answered your own question -

. . . I have no idea where these additional folders came from. . . . I do have New Blue Essentials, Elements and Stylizers installed for other NLEs. . . I was very careful in ensuring that nothing associated with Magix or Vegas was in those folders.

In my experience they would be picked up any way, unless you completely uninstall the NB effects, they have their own installation folder(s) and registry entries. Did you check the NewBlue installation folder?

Thanks for your response John, then that must be something relevant to Magix software only

The 3 folders listed above are all included in Corel Video Studio and of course display correctly, but they have not automatically installed themselves into Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere Elements and CyberLink Power Director. Will contact New Blue for advice

@Robert-Jeffree

Hi Robert.

Plugins are tailored to work in different formats for different editors. For Magix, that is OFX, (there is Also Avid, and Adobe and may be others) that may be also be the one CVS uses but I'm certain Adobe does not. Not sure about Pinnacle or CPD.

Ray.
