Video Exporting Far Too Big

Hi guys,

I've had a look around and can't find anything very specific.

I'm using Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015.

My files are exporting absurdly large. For example if i import a 1 minute long, 221mb, 1080p50 quality movie, if i export as uncompressed movie it ends up being an 18.1gb file.

I have tried using MPEG-4, AVI etc, export modes and they are better when it comes to file size but also destroy the quality of the movie.

I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi,

Normally 1 minute movie is about 220MB if you export an uncompressed file size like avi you can multiply by 10 the file size. Compression has advantage to reduce the file size and also loss in quality. The first rule is when you shoot the movie to adjust your camera 1920 x1080 but 25 frame per second for normal motion is you use 50 f/s this means you have motion to capture. also the frame rate is about 24MB/s. This is important to understand is when you export the movie you dont need this high quality you need 1920 x 1080 (50 or 25 f/s) not change the frame rate but the bitrate can be low as 6000 or 8000 and the picture quality is about 9.

Using a mp4 H.264 is a good file format..In all case if you reduce the bitrate you reduce the size and the quality.
