I am using MEP 2014.  In the middle of editing my video, the video stopped appearing in the monitor.  I can still hear the audio and continue to edit, but i cannot see the video.  I have tried restarting the program and still nothing.  I am on a deadline to get this done and not sure what happened.  any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, have you got a backup of your project or original footage that you could import and see if this resolves the issue. You say you can still hear the audio and I presume when you say continue to edit you are refering to the audio, look down your timeline in case you have placed a track on top of your video pootage or an effect or something that is hiding it, if you had not restarted the program you could of tried the undo feature to try and restore your video, seems strange for your video to disapear, unless it was cut or cut and moved further over, or something placed on top of it.

Kind regards,  johnp

Hi, Try pressing F9 on your keyboard, this is the standard software reset button for all Magix Programs, I do not know if it will help, but it is an easy first step.

Hi

This is a regular question - the problem appears for some unknown reason.

Usually a program reset fixes it - File, Settings, Reset . . .

If that does not fix it then the next step, with MEP closed, is to locate the project folder and delete or move to another folder all the .HDP and .H0 files there.

If that fails try re-installing the program and select the Repair option if offered.

No, that resets the layout, not the program settings.

Hi

Perhaps the little M box at the very far left of the timeline is activated. This is the mute buttom for any object (Video or Audio) on that track. Or the original track they were on had the adjacent S button activated which means Solo ie only that track is active.

Otherwise, try a different display setting like "Compatibility mode" in the Program settings (Y).
