Video Pro 6 - recording with mic gets static interference after 10 seconds

When screen recording with a headset (doing a narration) after 10 seconds or so the sound breaks up and sounds like static.

Is this a bug in the software or more likely to be something else, such as memory being filled up?

Hardware:

Steelseries corsair Vengence headset (USB plug into computer not soundcard)

Intel i5, 8Gb ram, SSD, SoundBlaster card and Nvidea ti2 660

Hi,

May be a conflict try to use the sound card and a mic plug in. Normally USB headset give better result and I found that the Cyber Acoustics mic gives better result. Normally with a i5 computer you can use the original sound card without problem.

I read on another answer about USB having limite dbandwidth. I'll try plugging it into one of my USB3 ports which are on a seperate card. The USB2 ports are all on the same bus so maybe that is causing the issue.

I'll put results on here form both suggestions.

I have now ordered a old style mic (3.5mm jack) to plug into the microphone to see if it works better than USB. Will put the result on here.
