@Christophe-Bachmann

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

First, for VPX13 the graphics hardware listed on the rather short computer specification you posted do not really meet the minimum requirements to run the software successfully, sorry.

The actual error message screenshot which you posted shows the error is with "ig9dxva64.dll" which is an Intel Graphics Driver. A quick Google search on that error code leads to this Microsoft Support page. Check the suggested solutions there.

In addition, some GoPro files are known to cause problems for video editing software. I'm not sure that anyone has ever found a reliable solution to this!

@Christophe-Bachmann

Hi and welcome to the forum.

What is the resolution and format of the GoPro videos you are trying to load?

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the GoPro clips and post the results from the Text view - see this tutorial for how to setup and analyse a video clip .

Do note - your computer specification is the absolute minimum needed to run VPX13 and if your video resolutions are greater than 1920 x 1080 and/or HEVC encoded, VPX 13 will be very sluggish to respond.

@johnebaker

Thank you for the informations.

I just downloaded filmora and there it works. I did also a update Intel graphics driver. But still VPX13 does not work anymore since the update and also with other older files it does crash.

@Christophe-Bachmann

Hi

Thanks for the MediaInfo information.

The computer (laptop?) is not capable of handling HEVC and running VPX 13 with this video format - the HD4600 is not capable of helping either as it does not have the capability of decoding HEVC, hence the error message.

Unfortunately comparing Filmora to VPX 13 is not a like for like comparison, VPX a professional video editor with extensive features and capabilities that requires more processing power than Filmora which is 'an alternative to Windows Movie Maker and iMovie'.

@johnebaker Hi. Thanks for the Information. I had to buy for 1 USD HEVC Code from Microsoft to enable to see the Videos with Media player. I will have to consider seriously to buy a new laptop. You are righty about the comparison VPX 13 and Windows Movie Maker or Filmora. But fact is that VPX 13 keeps on crashing when trying to use it also with older Videos ( no HEVC), that I used for creating Videos. So something is wrong with VPX13 on my laptop . With Movie Maker even HEVC code Videos works. I uninstalled VPX13 and installed it with latest update, but still crashing, what else to do? Intel is up to date. Thank you in advanced
