Video Studio 16 down at start

When I try to import a video, the program crashes. Why? There is also a error message about Microsoft Sound Mapper. How I can resolve it?

Do you mean Vegas Movie Studio 16 - if so please post in the Vegas forum here, otherwise what is the full name of the program and version number as found under Help, About.
