video track Sync

John-Hilliard wrote on 11/22/2021, 6:00 AM

I want to know how many video tracks can you sync at one time? in Magix video pro-2022? I have filmed a music video and I want to sync 5 or 6 video tracks with on-camera audio to a pro audio track. which was used by the band to sing along with during the filming.

Just another note: I came on Magix to find an email address or to open a support ticket. I have never found such a site that makes it so hard to find contact details. I am only posting on here because I was getting seriously getting annoyed trying to find an email address.

@John-Hilliard

Hi,

Just to be clear, please indicate the correct name of the program. You have posted under Movie Edit Pro (MEP) but indicated "Magix video pro-2022" which could be Movie Edit Pro 2022 or Video Pro X (VPX). Which is it? If MEP, then please indicate if you have the basic, Plus or Premium version.

See here for the comparison chart.

Assuming that you want to use Multi-cam and sync the videos that are on several tracks, in MEP Plus/Premium you can do 4 tracks; in VPX, 9 tracks. There are some caveats about synching videos shot by different cameras along with a separate audio track if they have not be synchronized with a time stamp for recording.

Note that in MEP, you can adjust the audio by offsetting it by single frames as the smallest unit. In VPX, you can offset the audio by much less than a frame if need be.

For Support, Magix uses a ticketing system. Click on the Support button at the top of the forum and follow it through to the end where you raise a ticket. Always click on Ask Support, then do what is indicated - still going towards Support. The system is designed to get the Category, Product, give you FAQ's and search for solutions before getting to raising a ticket. Probably 99% of questions can be resolved by looking at the FAQ's.

@John-Hilliard

As @browj2 indicated, the maximum number of multicam video tracks that MEPP can handle is 4, For the number you are wanting to use you need to look into purchasing Video Pro X (but do ensure your computer at least meets the minimum specified requirements; preferably, it should exceed them by some margin.)

Hi

To add to @browj2 comment.

If you are not using the Multicam feature, then the aligning video objects by audio is limited to the number of tracks as set in the project settings.

Thanks guys for your reply's. I don't know your software at all. I use Movavi for very basic editing its simple and quick I use. I use Davinci resolve studio for everything else. But my friend keep banging on about how great movie edit video software is. so, I thought I would ask about auto syncing tracks? which at the moment seems to be 4 I am not going to buy video pro x at £139. when I have Davinci studio and updates are free. but I was thinking of Movie edit pro premium 2022, because of the deal on offer to see if it is as simple as Movavi and drop Movavi . Once again thanks for your help
