VitalInstruments demo song does not load completely in Music Maker 2013 Premium

windywriter wrote on 11/7/2012, 7:53 PM

I'm just getting around to learning to use Music Maker 2013 Premium and tried to load the "VitalInstruments" demo song, but was unable to.  Below is the first of a long series of "file not found" messages I got instead:

If I click "Ignore" and go through the entire list of missing files, Music Maker freezes and I have to use Windows Task Manager to shut it down.  If I chose "Abort Loading," the demo will load, minus the missing files, though the first time I did this, the program froze and had to be restarted using CTRL+ALT+Delete.  I tried to reinstall the demo songs, but this does not solve the problem.  Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Have you downloaded all the additional files, synthesizers and extras?

Under Help there is an option to download the extras.

Hi John,

I have downloaded all the extras.  In fact, I even reinstalled the demo song files in hopes that this might do the trick.  But that did not fix the problem.  I thought about reinstalling all the extras, but I'm not sure if that will do any good.

Hi

Check that the extras etc have been installed by starting the extras download again and you should get a similar dialog box to this  (note this is from MMM MX)

This will tell you if the extras have been installed.

Thanks for your reply, John.  I've already done this and all the extras are shown to be downloaded.  But the problem still persists.
