VPX Update Service Expiry Soon

browj2 wrote on 5/2/2018, 11:10 PM

I just took a look at my account and found that my Update Service expires in 5 days for VPX. We have had nothing new for a long time, it seems, nothing new has been announced, and I have not received any notification from Magix. Like last year, it seems that they will be late. Has anyone seen or heard anything or been in this situation recently?

Thanks,

John CB

Not I, but I feel for ya, I remember I got caught in that last year. I expired without knowing, only to find out I needed to pay $150.00 or so to get back on the update program, then everything went downhill after I took the update. Few buggy updates caused me to re-stage my PC. That was a nightmare.

Hi Greg,

I raised a ticket a year ago about this and received the following reply on May 5, 2017, which, presumably, is also the current case:

"I would kindly like to inform you that the new update of Video Pro X (15.0.4.156) will be available very soon and will contain new features as well as user interface and workflow improvements."

My subscription expired last year with no ill effects, as I didn't have to reinstall the program. When the update/upgrade was issued and purchased, it came with the HitFilm and NB plugins, and there were major problems, especially on my desktop. Hopefully, the same thing will not happen again. So, I'll wait patiently.

I presume that VPX users all received the recent survey and replied? I did, but would like to have been able to add to a wish list like the one started by Magix on this forum a while back.
