I do not nor will I hook up my studio rig computer up to the internet. I was told by the customer service reps at Magix in an inquiry that I cannot fully install Magix MX Premium without connecting to the internet. Does someone know if there is a link to download the VST Plugins, espcailly effects, that come with the downloaded version? Or should I just ask them to ship me a CD?

I am not sure what your concern is with connecting your studio machine to the internet is but many software companies even those who provide phisical media require that after installation you download additional features to complete the installation. How do you do OS updates or application updates patches bug fixes etc.?
If this is a web security concern, buy a good hardware and software firewall, a high powered AV application and only allow the internet connection for downloads and updates when you need them. A properly set up firewall will only allow traffic from sites that you authorize and only through ports that you make available.
I would be very surprised if any software company will create a CD to complete the installation of add on features if that is not a product that they offer for sale.
Remember, with Music Maker MX Premium you are talking about a product that costs less than $100. How much special treatment can one expect for a product in that price range?
By the way if you think that downloading files to a different machine that connects to the internet then buring those file to CD or DVD to load on your studio machine will actually protect you completely from malicious code, then your are very seriously mistaken.

You asked for a link to VST plug ins. How are you going to download any VST plugins without connecting to the Internet?
If you are using another computer or get them (or any files for that matter) from some one elses computer then if you have no AV software on your studio rig then, you are still prone to getting a virus of other nasty on your computer.
IMHO having a reputable Antivirus and Firewall software installed, there should be no reason why you should not connect your PC to the Internet. You can always disable them and the Internet connection when you do not need to use them.
Even if you get a DVD of the software - you will still have to register it on-line and get the updates.
