I have been using Sound Forge 10 for many years but have just upgraded to 17. Not sure it's an improvement.
My question is: in Sound Forge 17 how do you get the VU meter to work when recording. It works when playing back but not recording.

To view the record level meter: View> Record Options"
It is a separate window from the playback meters "If you wish to view the record levels before recording (aka, rolling tape) enable "Arm" (aka. record ready).
For better or worse, the record architecture was changed in Sound Forge11 and remains. So was the plug-in chainer.
