Hi

To uninstall Movie Edit Pro Premium do the following:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel and select Programs and features

  2. Scroll down the list of installed programs until you find Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium as shown below

  3. Click the entry indicated below and select uninstall.

There is no need to remove the other entries shown - these should be uninstalled as well, however if any are left behind repeat the uninstall for them

  4. After the uninstall - delete the following folders and any sub folders and files left behind that you find in the following folders:

    C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro Premium

    C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro Premium
    - this is a hidden file so you may need to set Windows Explorer to show Hidden files.

  5. Restart the computer by selecting the Windows start button, Power, Restart - do not use shutdown option

There is no need to delete any of the Movie Edit Pro Premium folders in your Documents folder, they will not affect any re-installation.

No joy. Did a complete uninstall as instructed but upon re-installation, the problem occurred again the first time I launched the program.

Hi

Did you manage to get the first installation activated and registered?

If so then:

  1. Browse go to the magix.com website

  2. Click the My Account icon and login using your email address and password

  3. Select My products in the left pane

  4. On the next page you will see your registered product, serial number and down load link for the installer.

  5. Redownload the installer.

  6. Uninstall MEP 2017 and remove anything left behind again as in 4 in my previous post.

  7. Then start the downloaded installer and complete installation again

Hi there, this may help you.

To uninstall magix, use add and remove programs and then restart.

Next, remove all remnents of magix in user profiles, and program files (including x86)

then you need to remove it from the registry to. Heres something I "Borrowed" from the web and I used it with great success :

Run Registry Editor

Find and delete all registry entries of the program in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MAGIX AG\, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MAGIX AG\ and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

Find and delete all files of the program in system folders C:\Program Files\MAGIX AG\, C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MAGIX AG\ and C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\MAGIX AG\.

NOTE: We recommend only for advanced computer users, manually edit the registry and remove MAGIX Movie Edit Pro because deleting any single registry error leads to a serious problem or even a system crash.

I also suggest you do this with New Blue too.
