Way to reduce file size?

I used the HDTV 720p under mp4 for a 25 minute video and the result was 1.8 GB.  I have used other video editing software before and this just seems very high.  I tried editing the bitrate and got it to 600 mb but the quality took a huge hit.  I upload these videos online and 1.8 GB is just too much. My computer is pretty good so I wouldn't mind rendering longer to make a smaller file size if that helps.  So, am I using the wrong default settings or what can I do to reduce the size?

Hi,

Where did you find HDTV 720p under mp4? Do you mean HDTV 1280x720.....?

Try again. In the export screen for mp4, click on Display all and choose Flashplayer 1280x720. This is what I use for my tutorials that I post on YouTube.

At this setting, an mp4 that is 14:22 long is 272MB. I didn't touch any other parameters.
