Hi

Assuming you are using Windows 10 and this is a built in web cam (laptop?) - have you allowed access to the webcam in the Windows Privacy settings?

I have an idea about computer science. PC W10 64 bit (1909), Movie Edit Pro Plus. WebCam full approved for the application. 2x WebCam USB. MEP sees it as ripping the frames (I have a preview), and does not see it as recording (as previously described).

Hi

. . . . 2x WebCam USB. MEP sees it as ripping the frames . . . .

Records video fine on my computer - these are the options I used in Movie Edit Pro on Windows 1909.

I have 2 cameras (ubisoft and some unknown). However, what this has to do with how the program sees it (both) and changing the tab cannot see it. All other programs have seen them for years - means a MEP error.

@johnebaker

How much is this problem caused by the fact the OP is apparently attempting to use 2 cameras simultaneously? Or have I misunderstood completely??

Or that MEP does not support the use of two camera inputs at once.

I can not find anywhere in the manual stating it will support two devices at once.

If that is what you are after, try something like the free DigiCamControl program.

Only one camera connected to USB and click mouse (photo). Maybe it's the translator's fault, but I gave the pictures. I test it first on one camera then on the other. On each when I choose frames it is ok, and when I choose to record with the mouse, I have a message and a black screen. Software screen, because I always record on others. I have a few programs where I have been using WEBCam for years and nowhere is the problem only in MEP.

emmrecs wrote on 5/23/2020, 6:56 AM

@Zdzisaw-Kpa

Thank you for confirming that you are attempting to use only one camera at a time. That has certainly removed one possible problem.

However, I don't think you ever told us exactly which version of MEP Plus you have. Can you check under Help>About?

This is an upgrade and I uninstalled because hardware acceleration didn't work either. I return to the old version, but later. Thank you for your interest and best regards. The topic can be closed. ;)
