What is "Movie Edit Pro Content Pack Premium" activation code for?

Hi

Did you install the extra content - it is the second part of the install you would have been prompted to download and install this?

If not then it is under Help, Install extra content, Download extra content and follow any instructions.

Well, After the install of the main program, the installer automatically said something like "You are entitled to download extra content. Would you like to do that now?" or something similar and I said yes and it downloaded 19 files:

and then installed them one after the other. The NewBlue and Vasco da Gamma 9 Essentials modules had some sort of problem registering online during installation, but I found out you can go into MEP's Help menu and select "install extra content", which I did (including NewBlue and Vasco da Gamma). Restarted the program and nothing shows up in this "extra content" box anymore, so I assumed it had all been successfully installed, but I still don't see NewBlue Title under Effects or Titles (just the basic titler).

If I can help it, I'd rather not have to completely reinstall everything, since it takes quite a while and installs about 97 billion files... But if this is the only thing that will fix it, then, I guess I have no choice :(

[edit: Okay, I just reviewed the Amazon product description page for this, and it says that it comes with:

- NewBlue Colorfast 2

- NewBlue Elements Overlay

- Hitfilm Movie Essentials

None of those things are showing in the program (unless I'm looking in the wrong place). When I bought it from Amazon, there was only one 444.28MB program to download, and it downloaded the extra content after it installed the main program.

Hi.

Those add-ins you list (NewBlue Colorfast 2 etc.) should be showing under Effects>Extra Effects. See the attached screenshot.

The version number indicates you have the 2017 version of MEP - the current version is 17.0.2.166.

Try updating the program - Help, Update online.

We still the full name from Help, About . . .

p.s. My original problem, which I put in another forum thread, was that I had an "MXV" video that I encoded years ago and wanted to convert it to a non-proprietary format so that I can play it on any device and also be able to upload it to my Google Photos "account" (It doesn't recognize mxv as a video format) for archival purposes, BUT, even though it plays perfectly fine in the editor, no matter what export format I use, the output always has the audio out of sync with the video. I will render a sample of it tomorrow and let you know if this update fixes that problem. Thanks again.

One quick question: If I ever had to re-install this program, would I get all that extra stuff from the start? I know there's some new "one year free updates" kind of thing going on, but if you re-install you just get the version you originally installed. I SHOULD get all that stuff because the product description said that those things were part of the program that I purchased. Just wondering.

I just upgraded and am trying to activate the HitFilm pack, but every time I try, I am told that the serial number Magix sent me is not found. I have no idea who to contact about this. Any ideas? Has anyone had this problem?

I don't think my version came with HitFilm pack. I have all the stuff working now that was supposed to be (I think!), but it never did ask me for that activation code, and I see nowhere to actually insert it.

Sorry - I'm new to this forum, and I didn't know how to start a new thread. As it turns out, this pack was already activated - so that's probably why the serial number wasn't recognized. Not familiar with the new layout, I didn't notice the FX icons, and kept trying to activate them.
