What is the hdv hd2 format? When do I use it?

I am editing mts files. I want to ctreate a video file of my completed video in the best format then burn that format to DVD to be played on an lcd widescreen. Should I create an HDV HD2 file or just create an mpeg. I want to avoid the blurry images at high compressed formats. I will burn my DVD movie to a double sided disc.

HDV HD2 is a camcorder (import) format. It is useful if you want to transfer the material back to the camcorder.

You should use one of the presets for MPEG4 (H.264) Export or burn a Blueray.

Mpeg4 fits on Double sided discs? We dont have blue ray in my parts yet. Is mpeg4 better than mpeg2? My video is 55minutes long. I rendered it to mpeg to direct from my timeline at 4200 kbs first..but the video came out pixeled and the parts where the camera pans from right to left or vice versa..the image gets blurry.

Thank you all in advance
