What would cause only the first 10 seconds of my project burn to DVD

I have a 50 minute project that includes a menu with 4 chapters.  When I attempt to burn it to DVD by first endoding it to a Directory, Encode all,  then Burn, Use all, the only thing that burns to the DVD is the Menu and the first 10 seconds of the first chapter.  The buttons appear to be active on the Menu as in they highlight but the only one that plays is the first chapter and the first 10 seconds at that.  Any ideas on what would cause this?

Added Note - When previewing before burning the playback is flawless.  Also the finished Video_TS in the directory previews the whole project just as I would expect to be on DVD.  It's just the finished DVD that only has 10 seconds burned onto it.  Completed message says DVD burn successfully completed too.

Since the actual DVD files are clearly being created correctly (you say the Video_TS directory plays perfectly) the only other possible cause, I think, is either the burning program itself or the disc itself is somehow faulty.  Have you tried/tested with another disc?  (Would suggest using DVD RW discs so as not to keep producing coasters!)

If you are using MEP to directly burn the disc, rather than using MEP to create the disc image file and then using a third-party program to burn the disc - I do it this latter way since I can, like you, check the Video_TS directory before the actual burn and the burn program is also able to verify the files on disc after the burn - is it possible for you to test things using this workflow?

I tried several different things in MEP 2014 Pluse, one at a time, re-encoded all and still ended up with Coasters.  About 8 of them.  Interesting enough, in the Edit tab, click on Options and Burn CD / DVD to get to Speed Burn.  Dragged and Dropped all the TS, BUP, IFO's etc., checked the make video disc and proceeded to burn a good copy of the project.  So while I didn't solve the problem, I did find a workaround and get the end result I desired.

Hi jeff3, good to hear you solved the problem, albeit by a somewhat convoluted route!

Essentially, what you are doing is similar to the procedure I use (in my case, using a 3rd-party app to burn from the MEP/VPX created Disc Image).  Perhaps worth you trying that in the future?
