When I import a video there is no audio with it? How do I get the AUDIO

Wake1310 wrote on 1/30/2015, 11:31 AM

I cannot get the audio to transfer with theall video files. I have checked the box to do this and whatever the format I dont get the audio each time so cant do any editing and there is no point moving forward with editing until I can get this sorted. Funnily enough it does work on a couple of viceos but I dont know why? HELP!!!

I downlaoded the MPEG 4 Codecs for a price and that seems to have sorted this out. I was used to Pinnacle Studio where everything worked!!

Hi,

Which version and basic or Plus/Premium are you using?

Do you have the most recent patch installed?

What is the file format of you video files?

How are you importing the files?

Which box did you check? A screen shot would help.

Hi,

Try right-clicking on a video object, and selecting Create frametable (should be at the top of the list).

Let me know if that works.

If it does, press on Y for Program settings, Video/Audio tab, and under Import, turn on "Automatically create frametable during import."

Also make sure that you have the latest patch for MEP. There was a new one last week.

Also, as per your PM, for importing, what do you mean by "normal?" Do you mean from the Media pool and you clicked on the little insert arrow on the icon or dragged the file onto the timeline? Or did you import from a camera?

Where is the checkbox for audio and video that you mentioned. Do you mean the one under Program settings on the page that I referred to? Or somewhere else?
