When I open the software I could not find Media Pool on it

I bought the Movie Edit pro several days ago and installed it. When I open it I could not find where the Media pool is also the Content part while there are Preview Monitor and Timeline. I am using Windows 10 and what I am talking about is the MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2021 Premium. Since I am very new to this software, I need some instruction to make the screen right. Thanks

This is what my screen look like

It should see the Media Pool and content areas.

@sheng Welcome to MEP!

MEP 2021 has "fallen apart". Not to worry: hit F9.

If that doesn't work:

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

@sheng, @AAProds

Hi

The F9 option's method of use appears to have had a subtle change in how it works - it is as a quick reset if panes have been moved temporarily during a session, once the program is closed the last layout is saved.

If the pane layout from the previous session was saved as shown in sheng's first image, then F9 does not work.

As you can see the menus select Window, Window arrangement, Standard - there is no keyboard shortcut for this option as can be seen in AAProds image.

I would also suggest you reset the program to its default settings, File, Settings, Reset program settings to default to clear the initialisation file MEP uses on startup to eliminate possible corruptions in the file - do note this will remove any customisations you have made to the program settings.
