When I trim scenes on the time line I am left with blank spaces between scenes. How do you get rid of these spaces

I am using MovieEdit 17 Pro Plus. With all the other software I use ,when I trim on the time line the adjacent scene iskept in place next to the scene. No blank space appears between the scenes. Is there a setting to stop these blank spaces appearing, so each scene remain butted to its adjacent scene on the time line. Is there a quick way to get rid of the blank spaces.

Hold down CTRL while deleting a scene, and you have not the blank space.

But try the Search-function and find out more, I got 47 results !
