Where do I find the Extra Content

Andx2000 wrote on 6/5/2022, 3:09 PM

Hi,

I have just started using Movie Studio Platinum and the Sales page states:

Over one million content items: Your library for music, stock footage, and animation! Whether you need music, sound effects, stock footage, or animations, MAGIX Content provides an unlimited collection of royalty-free HD videos and audio files. And best of all, you have access to all content for any project, any type of publication, and for an unlimited period of time thanks to our collaboration with Storyblocks – without any worry about usage rights.

I tried to activate using my Serial number, but it was not accepted.

Can someone please advise where would I access the content?

Thanks

@Andx2000

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The content is available if you have Movie Studio 2022 365, where you pay a monthly subscription I believe. I assume you have the one-off purchase version? If so, my understanding is that it is not included, sorry.

Thanks, browj2, but to me, the wording of the statement implies that the content is in Platinum and Suite subscription not Platinum and Suite Suite subscription(s). Thanks

@Andx2000

You're saying that because that is what you want to believe. In other words, you are saying that one should get the content with Platinum non-Suite but not with a Platinum subscription. Sorry, does not compute.

There are other things that are only in Platinum and Suite. You won't get them with a subscription. Of course, you would interpret that to mean that you should get them as well with a subscription if you subscribed, because that is what you would want to believe. Don't interpret. It says what it says.

Please, if you want to believe otherwise, take it up with Magix, not here. They will tell you that you only get access to the 1 million + content (Storyblocks) with a subscription, and that they would be pleased to sell you a subscription.

As for

Where do I find the Extra Content

my interpretation, without reading your text, was that you were looking for the "Extra Content" which, of course, you do get, After purchase and activation. it becomes available for downloading and installing.

Perhaps . I did not realise that there was also a Platinum subscription as it is not mentioned on the sales page, so I assumed one of the differences between standard and platinum was the extra content (especially as it says "subscription" and not "subscriptions" which implies the singular). Thanks for your advice.
