First of all....what version of MEP are you using? And are you trying to get the audio in sync with the video or are you doing this for effects?

Using movie edit pro 2014, with win 7.

At a live performance, using video from camera captured, and then digitzed into an .mpg file, which windows player plays back and performs accurately.   When imported to MEP, it is out of sync.  I'm trying to match up singing vocals audio, to sync video of performer's lip/mouth movements...about 1-2 seconds out of sync.  very annoying ;>(

looking for this tool/control which is descibed in help screen...under heading "Audio/Video Offset"

"You can use this dialog to balance the sound & image time differences. A positive value shifts the audio material back, a negative value moves it forwards."

Can't find this tool.......if I could find it, that should solve my prooblem

Thx

Hi

This is a common problem with mpg's - try right clicking the video(s) on the timeline and select Create frametable new. . .  this usually fixes the sync problem.
