Where is the "Align audio to other objects" function? Since Pro X6 stopped working properly on the "Align audio to other objects" I ordered the Movie Edit Pro 2015 version. But in this version the function is not available, well, I can't find it on the right click menu. The HELP says it should be there. Soooo MAgix, where is it? Can't live without this great option

gveendaal,

Is this the same as 'Align other audio objects with this track'?

From the help file, it seems you get this from a context menu (right click) on the audio object. If your Video/Audio are linked on one track you won't see the option.

This is in MEP 2015 Premium. The notes say the function is handy for multi cam editing which is not available in the standard version.

Regards,

Carl

Hi gveendaal,

As Carl says, it's only available in the Premium version.

And as he says, you have to get the A/V on separate tracks (Ctrl+H) but not ungrouped, lassoo the objects, right-click on one of the audio objects, and the function is on the menu. I tried it and it works fine in MEP2015 Premium.

The HELP section says it should be available in MEP 2015. And there is another big problem. It won't render. Same problem as in MAGIX PRO X5 although after extensive testing I managed to find a work around. This one won't render. I had to finish a project, and after almost one hour of trying, I managed to render the project in MAGIX PRO X6. Why do I buy al those different version. Not one is working correctly, althou MEP 2015 is very fast but still has some strange things, the other versions have too. Put some reverb on an audio object, then cut the object in two pieces. The second object will have the reverb on maximum. You have to enter the Echo/reverb function and just press OK to get rid of this problem. Also import multiple pics and your MAGIX will only start viewing from point 00:00 no matter where you put the marker on the timeline. Save and quit and restart MAGIX is the only option. X6 has lots of hangs, sometimes every 15 minutes, especially after scrolling back on the timeline with lots of objects on the timeline.

So I guess I have been fooled by the advertising in my mailbox, updating to Movie Edit Pro 2015. Pro sounded as Pro X6. Better get rid of this versieon and continue with the instable X6

I have contacted the dutch helpdesk and within a day there were some good answers. The "Align audio to other objects" function is in the Premium version indeed. Magix had offered me an upgrade by mail, but it was a classic version. I am offered to upgrade this MEP 2015 to a Premium version, but there was another problem to overcome, MEP2015 was not rendering.  It crashed, pressing the [Advanced] button in the export window. What happened? After installing MEP2015 its a normal procedure to download the extra functionality bij opening the HELP menu and getting the extras. One of the extras was downloading "Main Concept" things. After downloading I was told to select "Main Concept" in the program settings. I had no idea what it was, but it sounded like an extra. Well X6 en MEP2015 work with the Intel Quicksync encoder, other versions work with the Main Concept encoder. In MEP2015 you can choose which one you like to use. And in my case I choose Main concept (for I thought to be adding an extra) and that was wrong. Resetting the Main Concept option to Default solved the problem of MEP2015 crashing, trying to click on the [advanced] button in the export window.

The "splitting an audio object with reverb" problem will be taken care of.

The "Import multiple pics" problem is not known, i will have to create a seeting to force the problem to reveal itself. Will work on it.

The system hangs in X6 is also difficult to get yout hands on. I will try to setup a configuration where X6 will be forced to hang itself.

Anyway I want to add that te work I did in MEP 2015 worked flawless and is much faster than X6. Extra functionality for changing the volume of an audio object is much more precise now. I will keep you posted!
