Where to find an option "Adjust movie" on MEP 17 HD?

Hello there, I have MEP 17 HD. I tried to export my edited video and I received this message..."The export settings is differ from the film settings, objects maybe positioned incorrectly in your film or maybe played with black stripes or wobble. For realistic preview, select the image playback rate and the proportions you wish to use when exporting in the movie settings.

Click on"Adjust movie" if you wish to adjust the film settings. Start playback of your movie once again and check to see if everything is displayed properly. To continue with the export, click on the "Continue" button. If you wish to customize the export settings, click on the "Cancel" button.

I am a newby with this program and I'm trying to follow the instructions above but I couldn't find those options, I don't even find the option "Adjust movie". It was poped up when I drag the clips into the time line, and I selected "Adjust Movie"  Is anybody out there to help me with this? I really appreciate it if someone can guide me steps by steps along the way  . A million thanks...

Hi,

I can't open my version 17 anymore, but it should be close to this.

Press on E or go to File, Settings, Movie. There you will your video settings for your movie. When you created the project, the screen gave you options for your movie and you either accepted the default or selected a different option. Try creating a new project and you will see what I mean. This is what shows up under the Movie settings.

When you went to export, you must have selected different settings than for your movie, thus MEP warns you. For example if your movie was set for 4:3 size and you are exporting to 16:9, you will be warned and asked if you want to adjust your movie.

Normally your movie and export settings should match, except when you are export a high definition movie to a lower definition, like for DVD quality. Do not adjust your movie for this.

You can read up on this in the manual.

Hi

. . . . The export settings is differ from the film settings, objects maybe positioned incorrectly in your film . . . .

You are getting this message because the project is set to one resolution and the export is set to a different resolution

eg the project may be set to 1920 * 1080 16:9 and you are exporting to 720 * 576 16:9 or 4:3.

I would suspect from the message you are changing both the framerate and the aspect ratio in the export settings.

Unless you are changing aspect ratio of the export compared to the project setting then you can usually ignore this message and click Continue.

Check the projects settings (E key) for width, height and aspect ratio and compare them to those in the export dialog. - see below for an example of a mismatch in aspect ratio
