Which version of MEP do I need to have the ''Movement Effects'' tab???

Apollo89x wrote on 1/15/2019, 12:08 PM

I paid for Magix Movie Edit Pro.

I need to blur some faces in multiple videos, however when following the the tutorial of how to do this i've discovered that you need to buy an even more premium version of MEP before you will have access to the tabs/menus required to do this!! :|
(Specifically the ''Movement Effects'' tab).

But so does anyone know which version I need to upgrade to now to have access to that menu please?

As i don't want to pay for the highest priced version if I can get that menu within a lower priced version.

Plus! We have always recommended to users to get either Plus or Premium, not the basic, as you will quickly run into limitations. The difference between Plus and Premium is just plugins; the program is the same.

There is a special on right now - Plus for the same price as the basic version, and there are also some plugins which come with it as a bonus.

See the comparison chart.

Thankyou for your quick answer, very helpful of you mate.

But yes I did see that offer, however it's not ''a good'' offer, it's instead actually just magix sticking 2 fingers up at all it's loyal customers who have previously bought basic,
as they are saying to all their existing loyal customers ''New customers can purchase the superiour Plus version for even cheaper than the cost of your Basic version, But for you to merely upgrade your Basic version to the cheaper priced Plus version we will charge you an extra £45''.

Is an extremely foolish decision by Magix, as just shows they only care about enticing new customers,
but once you are a customers they won't reward your loyalty, instead will just screw you over, and instead only focus on new customers.

I also tell people to not pay the full price, to wait for a sale. Magix has sales all of the time. They rotate the products that are on sale at any one time. MEP Premium will likely be on sale some time this year for the price of Plus.

You can always ask Magix for a price to upgrade from basic to Plus. They might give you one, but probably without the add-ons.

For those who have Plus or Premium, there is an Upgrade button. However, upgrades are included for a year and you only need to pay after the year is up if you want to Upgrade. See the details on the web site for Upgrade Service.

Which version of basic do you have? See under Help, About.

You can make your own mask and put it between duplicated videos. Give it a chromakey alpha, size and position it. The only problem is getting the blur effect on one of the video tracks, as it seems that basic does not have blur effects.

There is no ''Movement Effects'' tab. There is an "Effects" tab that has "View/Animation" under it. So, I'm not sure what you're doing.

@Apollo89x

The solution I gave you in your topic relating to pixellating faces is possible in the basic version of MEP - there are no special effects used that are not already present.

Please continue in that topic for further issues / comments regarding pixellation to avoid further splitting of responses.
