Who would like a solved flag or heading added to our questions when they have been resolved

Hi to everyone.

I have only been here for a while, but the lack of an indicator showing when a problem has been solved seems a pretty big oversight.

I say this because my own issues have been resolved, yet a member or passer by has no way of knowing this,  will end up frustratingly reading through questions that have no resolutions instead of being able to quickly get to the bottom of their issue, which is extreemly bad public relations, people will simply move on and try another product when they can not get answers without inputting an inordinate amount of time, especially those trialing or maybe just sussing out what support is available before they even download a trial.

I hope the mods pass this on to Magix, small things like this matter a lot to a potential customer.

Kind regards, johnp

Hi JohnP

A great idea, however it still depends on the original poster acknowledging the problem has been solved,

if you look through a lot of questions you will find that a large number of OP's never respond positively if the problem is solved - particularly when a series of solutions are offered.

We never find out which one worked, whereas the simple courtesy of confirming which answer helped can also help other members.

Similarly when a question is asked and no information is supplied we end up in a question and answer session whcih does not help the OP who may be getting very frustrated about the problem they are experiencing.

Hi johnEB

Did i miss something when you mention," confirming which answer helped", is there a function to do this, I have opted to try and incorporate this into my own questions when I get a resolution, but it would be real easy to hit a button, and would help others immensly, if the option is not there people can not come back and click it.

I do see, and have never came across so many seemingly abandoned posts, where lots of suggestions were made in response to questions asked, not much can be done about this, the worst think there is, am of the opinion some of those people just post to discredit the product, there is one post here with 14 answers,  where the poster says he is at his wits end, If I was at that place I would be reading the answers and responding.

Kind regards, johnp

Hi JohnP

Unfortunately not.

. . . . but it would be real easy to hit a button, and would help others immensly, if the option is not there people can not come back and click it . . . .

Agreed it would be great.

. . . . I do see, and have never came across so many seemingly abandoned posts . . . .

That is a big issue

. . . .the worst think there is, am of the opinion some of those people just post to discredit the product . . . .

They usually get warned by the Mods or in extreme cases of ranting the post will be removed.

Best regards
