Why can't Movie Edit Pro 2015 burn and NTSC viceo?

I have installed the latest patch and MEP won't burn an NTSC video.  It puts in all PAL defaults.  But there is no way to check and see if it is burning correctly until you have burned at least one VOB.  The older versions all displayed the actualy burned format, and allowed the user to change the actual format.  Now it just has idiot menus.  What happened to all the customization menus???  At one time it was possible to fix things with hidden menus, but no more.  BRING BACK THE OLD OPTIONS!!!!!

While I can go back to 2014 and burn from it, the speed is slower and because of incompatability in formats the 2015 setup causes 2014 to gag.  Are they ignoring the Western hemisphere format?

OOps I was a bit to quick.  MEP had for some reason defaulted to PAL, but I was able to select NTSC.  But I had formatted nearly a whole DVD before checking if the format was correct.  I had to play one of the VOBs and see if it was correct.  Now I was quicker and checked the first VOB after being formatted.  WHY DOESN'T MEP show the actual format as it used to???  That would have saved me a lot of time and aggrivation.  It also needs to default to NTSC when the input is obviously NTSC.  It should default to progressive video when the input is progressive.  I make my videos progressive using the best available converter in Avisynth, which works with minimal loss of resolution.  MEP then wants to burn it with BFF, ugh.
