Why do I not see the entire audio content when I load an MP3 album?

I am using Music Editor 3 included in MAGIX Music Maker 17 Premium Download. I have an album recorded in one mp3 file, 40MB, 43:56 minutes long, When I import the file and load it, I only see 6 of the 10 tracks displayed in the app window. 22:56 minutes long. Why does Music Editor clip the file and limit the display? I want to labled the tracks and burn a CD. Is this possible?

Hi,

This should help you get set up to do what you want.

Hi George,

I am sorry that I have not made this question entirely clear. I have captured an audio recording of an album into one 40 MB MP3 file. The recording is 43 minutes and 56 seconds in length. My intent is to use Music Editor 3 to enumerate and label the tracks in stereo mode and then use the edited file to create a CD.

When I import the mp3-formatted file into Music Editor 3, I do not see the entire length of the loaded waveform displayed in the window of Music Editor 3. What  I do see is slightly more than half of the recorded waveform, 22 minutes and 56 seconds to be precise, that only shows 6 of the 10 tracks (not enumerated or labeled). I will attempt to get a screen capture image to show what I am trying to describe.

No help for my problem, but thanks for your response. Any other suggestions?

Hi

What happens if you let the audio play to the end of the visible portion?  Do you hear the rest of the audio?

No, John, the playback ends after the cursor reaches the end of the 22:56 track that is displayed in the track window (see screen capture). The cursor keeps going but no more audio is heard.

Hi

I cannot reproduce this problem - I suspect there is something different about the mp3.

What are the properties of the file as seen in Windows Explorer when right clicking the mp3 and selecting Properties, Details?
