Why does MAGIX movie edit pro 2014 export m2ts rather than mp4, when MP4 is what I selected?

If you want the mp4 container file then select one of the HD TV, PC or Flash presets - note the Flash presets will give a lower quality video (for websites) then the PC formats as shown below:

Note: the Display all option in the mp4 export dialog has been checked.
