Why does MEP14 Pro no longer play or render MPEG-4 files correctly, after installing the most recent Nov. 2013 update?

After installing the last update, 13.0.2.8, on my new MEP14+, I can no longer correctly play MPEG-4 audio nor render it on either DVD or BDR. Did something change? I had rendered several DVDs and Blu-rays, prior to installing that update with no issues. I had to render that project on MEP13+ Now, any project containing MPEG-4 audio, won't play correctly, (Plays choppy with audio in and out), as well as, renders it the same way, on MEP14+

What happened?  Does anyone experience the same problem?

You may have lowered the audio by mistake. In the timeline look to see if the audio timeline is muted press the M tag on the left hand side. you may have pressed iut by mistake.

Let me correct myself, it's not that it doesn't play, (Not due to muting), it does play.  But very choppy. Audio dropping in and out during playback. It also renders the project the same way. Only on MPEG4 audio files. Wave files are played back fine. This only started happening AFTER I installed the most recent update to MEP14+. I had rendered this project before the update and had no issues. I corrected some typos, then updated, then rendered it again, and when I reviewed it, found the anomolies. I went back to the project, and noticed it again when I played it back on the timeline. After which, decided to render the project on MEP13+, and all was fine. I also noticed that MEP14+ cannot divide the multiple AVCHD files. It lists them as 0000-0012, and will only allow me to enter the first file, 0000 and the final file, 0012. But not files 0002 thru 0011. Unlike MEP13+, which lists them all separetly, and allows me to pull them into the timeline without issue. I haven't been able to begin a project on MEP14+, without having to start it on MEP13+ first, then close MEP13+, and open it on MEP14+ to begin working on it, due to that problem since the moment I installed the program. Any advice would be appreciated.
